Background & Journey
I'm a mechanical engineer who transitioned into software. Started in medical devices, building surgical tools and coordinated nation wide equipment response for Ireland's Health Service Executive during COVID.
In software, I've built AI systems for investment banks, government organizations, and global health NGOs. One project reduced epidemiologists' data search time from hours to minutes. Another helped teams find critical public health connections between information buried in their own systems.
The pattern is always the same: talented people spending too much time on admin instead of their actual work.
